In the middle of the forest, in the village where I grew up, there's a strange and isolated location where people live surrounded by nature. As a child, I only visited this place in my imagination. But how persistent are childhood fantasies? Do they continue to shape our perception of a place once we are adults? Four decades later, I revisited the place. I tried to look through the eyes of an adult now, but with old fantasies in the back of my mind. I tried to capture the beauty of this place that had left such a lasting impression on me as a child, but the indescribable strangeness still remained.
